How To Find Your Perfect Match

How To Find Your Perfect Match

When you’re in business you’re surrounded by lots of people giving lots of advice and often the most heard is… “You need help!  You should hire someone!”  Sure, that’s all well and good for them to say but they aren’t the one that has to find the budget for this miracle person that will take all your stresses away.

What you may not realise is that you can get that help WITHOUT the employee wage that it usually attracts.  A Virtual Assistant is an independent contractor, so you only pay for the time that they are working.  No onboarding, allowances, vacation or sick leave or even office space and equipment.  This is all their responsibility.  Occasionally there will be some training costs but this is rare and generally only if using a system specific to your business.

Virtual Assistance is an incredibly broad industry and encompasses many different areas, everything from social media, transcription, general administration to project management, public relations and copy writing.

If you’ve never used a virtual assistant before, you may feel a little lost in the beginning about what they can actually do for you.  Just a word to the wise – they can probably do a lot more than you first think!  Here’s a quick article with 75 Uses of a Virtual Assistant.

When searching for your perfect virtual assistant there are a few important things to keep in mind;

Their enthusiasm –  Do they have a love for what they do or is it to simply pay the bills?Virtual Business Assistance; Virtual Assistant; Virtual Asset; Online Business Support

Their loyalty – Can you trust them?  This is your business that you’re talking about, whether you want a VA for a one off project or ongoing, you need to know that you can rely on them.

Their ethics – How do they do business? Will they ensure that all work is completed thoroughly and to the standard that you set and expect (and that they promise)?

Their background – How long have they been doing what you are hiring them for? If they are touting themselves as an “expert”, ensure they actually are.

Their attitude – This is probably the most important thing!  Do you get a long with them? Are you compatible? Do they understand your goals and will they help you to achieve them?

If you are still unsure what to look for in a virtual assistant or what they can do for you, contact me today for a no obligation chat and I can help to answer your questions!
