It’s Time For A Holiday!

Time For A Holiday

It’s Time For A Holiday!

I’m heading overseas in a few days and even though I’ll only be gone a week, I still have a million things on the to do list floating around in my head (and written in my planner and in my Asana account)!  I desperately needed a quiet coffee in the fresh air so I thought this would be the perfect time to share how I have planned to keep the different aspects of my business under control while I’m gone.

CLIENT WORK
Put on an additional team member and trained them in all client’s recurring tasks (thank goodness for SOPs!)
Advised all clients that I was taking time off and that my trusty team would be looking after their day to day things
Requested advance notice for anything they wanted me to complete before I left so that I could schedule it in

EMAILS
Auto-reply setup and turned on
Everything that needs actioning, is actioned before I go (and filed!)
Filters put in place to keep client emails separate to others

SOCIAL MEDIA
Pinned post on Facebook page
Schedule daily posts ahead of time
Auto-reply setup and turned on for private messages

PHONE
Voicemail activated with message updated to say I’m out of the country and will action all calls upon my return

See, taking time off really isn’t as difficult as it appears; it just takes planning, open communication and organisation.  Everyone is allowed time off, even business owners that work with other business owners.

Now, where are those passports?….
